The Finals - Dev's Answer All. Big S3 Features. New Gadgets, Maps, Modes
They're really just getting started. This was answered by three different individuals. Gustav, Rob, and Hogstrom People have complained about being stuck at the cap of 3, 000 VR currency or VR coins. Gustav went on here to say that they know this stinks, but there will be more uses for VR in the future, so stay tuned for that.
It also looks like we're going to be getting the final merchandise. We had another unique question here asking about Scotty and June's responses to Iname Live Events, where they said dynamic commentary would be awesome, but it's very complicated. We're experimenting with this, but we don't have anything ready right now, so it could be really cool if they get some stuff started with that, as we know there's kind of some dynamic stuff with the voice lines.
We had another big question here, asking about larger tournament lobbies as well as prescheduled. Lobbies for tournaments: they said that tournaments are a core part of the finals, and they're working on some really cool, exciting changes that are coming already in season 3. Someone did ask about road maps and if there would be any potential releases for them.
If they can get some future updates for that or at least some future progress, they said here that they don't want to create or post road maps. Embarks and thirded, so it seems like they're going to want to add those new contestant slots. Now has been a big thing since 2.6.0, Possible stealth Nerf with the dagger, but I'm wondering if there's any changes there, if there's any fixes for that, or if it's on latency.
They did say they're aware of the issue, and they're working on improving the melee experience as a whole. Hopefully, for you dagger and sword players and melee players in general, you guys will get some changes with that. We do have a question here asking about wall running and wall jumping. Rob did say I would love this; maybe I will see some stuff akin to Titanfall.
Jumping over another question here asking about the badge and mastery system in the game, something that could be displayed on a banner, Rob did answer here, saying absolutely. Yes, so you might start to see some of that concept art come to fruition. We had one here asking about the prop hunt mode, and there's a little twist to the final style.
Gustav's answer here is saying that anything can happen in the finals; it seems like they're pretty open to new modes, especially with the new terminal attack and sort of the funky in-game events that happen as well. They had a lot of stuff about the narrative and the future plans for it. Haring The narrative and story of this world are very important to them.
There's a whole world around the finals, and they can't wait to reveal that. It looks like the lore is super in depth with this game, so they're going to continue with that, and I'm really glad about that stuff also here about diamond-ranked rewards and if they'll be attainable in the future again.
Rober here is saying you will never be able to get the previous diamond weapons, but they will never run out. They wonder why people won't ask about Ruby skins. Maybe that's a hint at some future skins for rank. Here's a really cool one for light. I know a lot of us are in dire need of that class, trying to get it to work.
Someone asked here, Can we get a gadget for specialization that makes you a prop like a canister or a chair? Gustav's answers are here, saying they've been prototyping. Something similar to that again: these might be hints for season 3 and potentially season 4. Last but not least, we had a question here asking for the plans for map variants of CNS Horizon.
Gustav said yes; there are plans now. I did miss a few questions here and there, but most of them were either repeats or just kind of giving praise to the developers. If you want to see the AMA in its fullest, it should be completely over now.
